Tallulah the dog, the sweetest, most loving girl, looking at the camera
Our priority case right now

meet tallulah

One more surgery to give Tallulah a life without pain.

Tallulah survived a start in life that should have ended it. She fought, and she made it, but that fight left lasting damage. She leaks urine constantly, she is always sore, and every other week brings another painful infection.

Her family have already paid for two operations and given everything they can. One final surgery, around £6,000, would give her what she has never had: a life without pain. And through it all, she is still the sweetest, most loving girl.

To raise money and shine a light on animals in need.

why we're doing this

Because care should never come down to cost.

Right now, somewhere in the UK, there's a dog with a treatable illness and an owner who simply can't afford the vet bill. A cat who needs surgery that costs more than a month's rent. Animals whose only barrier to a happy, healthy life is money.

That's where Care Over Cost steps in, covering treatment for animals in need, so no pet ever goes without care because of the price tag.

So twelve of us are swapping our beds for kennel floors. One night behind bars is nothing compared to what these animals face, but it might just change everything for them.

Kennel 1 · Raising for Care Over Cost

TV personality & MMA fighter

Yes, that Alex Reid. TV star, cage fighter and one of the most fearless men on British telly, and now he's taking on his strangest opponent yet: a kennel floor and a long, cold night. Alex has never been shy of a challenge, and the moment he heard what Care Over Cost do for animals he was straight in. Swapping the cage for a kennel, and doing it all with that famous grin. We couldn't ask for a better man to lead the charge, and we're so grateful and lucky to have his help.

Kennel 2 · Target: £5,000 to help animals get the veterinary care they need

Not just a fighter: a fighter with a seriously big heart. Paul spends his life in the gym pushing his body to the limit, but this challenge is a different kind of tough. Twenty-four hours in a kennel with no crowd, no bell and no way out, just him, a blanket and the reason he's doing it: animals who deserve better. He was one of the very first to say yes, and he's aiming big with a £5,000 target. That tells you everything about the man. We're so grateful and lucky to have him with us.

Kennel 3 · Target: £5,000, raising for All Animals Rescue and Rehome in support of the challenge

Canine Dip & Dive, Maldon

Terry spends every working day around dogs at Canine Dip & Dive in Maldon, helping them swim, play and thrive, so he knows better than most what a happy dog looks like, and what it takes to get them there. Now he's seeing life from the other side of the bars for 24 hours, raising for All Animals Rescue and Rehome in support of the challenge. Proof of how much good can come from one person saying YES to something a little bit bonkers. We're so grateful and lucky to have his help.

Kennel 4 · Target: £2,000 for Care Over Cost

A true dog lover with a huge heart. Clare shares her life with her own pack of much-loved dogs, so she knows exactly who she's doing this for. A night in a kennel is completely out of her comfort zone, and that's exactly why she's doing it: because the animals Care Over Cost help don't get a choice. Brave, kind and all in, we're so proud, grateful and lucky to have her in Kennel 4.

Care Over Cost

Helping animals get the treatment they deserve.

Care Over Cost is a UK charity with one simple belief: no animal should suffer because their treatment costs too much. They step in where the bills get in the way, funding vet care for dogs and cats whose families can't, and giving animals in need a fair chance at a healthy life.
